Welcome to Furniture World! By using our website at furnitureworld.co.nz ("Website") or purchasing products from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue using our Website or purchasing products from us.

Products, Pricing, and Sales Order Components

  • All prices listed on the Website are in NZD and include GST.
  • Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.
  • We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

Order Process and Delivery

  • Orders placed are subject to acceptance and can be declined at our discretion.
  • Dispatch of goods typically occurs within 2–5 working days. Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.
  • Additional charges may apply for remote or rural areas.
  • If using our arranged carrier (Carrier):
    • Ensure someone is available during the estimated 4-hour delivery window.
    • Delivery and assembly fees are separate and payable to the Carrier.
    • Ensure accessibility to the delivery location; additional charges may apply for disassembly or access issues.
    • Goods not collected or delivered within 21 days of contact may result in order cancellation.
  • Claims for visible damage will not be valid once the delivery is signed off.
  • Products eligible for free shipping will only be delivered to main cities; rural delivery charges are extra.

Returns, Refunds, and Warranty Details

  • No Returns or Refunds for change of mind. Choose carefully before finalizing your purchase.
  • Returns within 14 days if products arrives damaged and reported withing 24 hours. The product must be unused and in original packaging.
  • Our products are covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Warranty Details
  1. New Zealand-Made Mattresses: 10 years on structural integrity and materials.
  2. Imported Mattresses: 2 years on structural integrity and materials.
  3. Bed Bases and Frames: 2 years on structure and components.
  4. New Zealand-Made Sofas: 5 years on the foam and upholstery. Life time warranty on frame.
  5. Imported Sofas and Recliners: 1 year on frame, upholstery, and mechanisms.
  6. Dining Tables and Chairs: 1 year on structural components and finishes.
  7. Storage and Cabinets: 1 year on frames, hardware, and finishes.
  8. Office Furniture: 1 year on structural components, mechanisms, and accessories.

Warranty Coverage:

  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use are covered.
  • Warranty does not cover:
    • Damage from misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear.
    • Products used commercially or outside domestic environments.
  • Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser.

Claim Process:

  • Stop using defective products immediately.
  • Report defects to our service department within the warranty period.
  • Approved claims will be resolved at our discretion (repair or replacement).
  • Costs related to warranty claims (e.g., shipping) are borne by the purchaser.

Cancellation Rights and Consumer Protection

  • Orders may be cancelled and refunded due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., supply chain disruptions, acts of nature).
  • Ownership transfers upon full payment and delivery/collection.

Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

  • Furniture World is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the Website or products purchased.
  • You agree to indemnify Furniture World against liabilities arising from your use of the Website or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by New Zealand laws and subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.

Furniture Care Guidelines

  1. General Use: Use furniture as intended; avoid undue stress or misuse.
  2. Sunlight: Protect from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  3. Leather: Follow the care instructions provided in the Lounge Booklet.
  4. Fabric: Handle with care and check care labels.
  5. Timber: Protect from heat and moisture; clean regularly.
  6. Stone Finishes: Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining.
  7. Metals: Dust regularly and use chrome polish if needed.
  8. Glass: Use standard glass cleaners and handle with care.
